The Higher State return to 2019 with a brand new single on Los Angeles’ newest psychedelic label Hypnotic Bridge.
This release see’s the group continue to streamline with their unique brand of jangled-out folk rock.
The A-side ‘In The Morning I Will Roam’ is a unique sunny-hazed reflection of life and it’s burdens and sounds akin to Peter and Gordon at their best and is also not unlike a host of other mid-60s folk inspired pop hits.
The B-side Winter Is Blue is a cover of the Vashti Bunyan’s 1966 classic given the Higher State treatment with the inclusion of fuzz-tone guitar and a Stones-esque attitude.
The Artwork has been hand painted by Los Angeles based artist and musician David Jasso, who recreated the occult ideas we portrayed to him via Stu Pope of Hypnotic Bridge, indeed it was a collaborative effort and The Higher State would like to thank David and Stu for their hard work.
Limited to 500 copies and released on the Summer Solstice. 45 comes in card sleeve.
