Muddy Worries, are a power trio based in Bologna (Italy) that mixes blues, punk and rock’n’roll, chopping everything with a wild attitude.
FUCKED UP is their new album co-produced with “Fernando Dischi,” Ferruccio Quercetti’s label (Italian band CUT and solo project Ferro Solo). It is released exclusively on vinyl with a limited edition of 300 copies.
You can listen to Ferruccio Quercetti himself on vocals, in a visceral version for two guitars and drums of “In a Hole” originally by Jesus and Mary. All the other songs are, however, Muddy Worries originals.
In three songs , the distorted and disturbing signals which mix with explosions of guitar, bass and drums mix are coming from the synths played by another other guest, Pierpaolo Leo, an electronic musician who has collaborated with Italian/French group Enfance Rouge in the past.
The sound of “Fucked Up” is characterized by live recording: it’s a choice made by the band to convey, through a dirty and primordial sound, a message of urgency and immediacy.
Luca Bovarini, a great friend of the band, captured everything with his microphones at Cabot Cove in Bologna, in only two days of recording in March 2023. Analogue mastering is by Matteo Bordin (Outside Inside Studio).
The drawings on the album cover are by Pietro Libero and they are based on a graphic idea by Alessandro Micheli. Distribution by Hellnation.
Muddy Worries are Raffaele (guitar and vocals), Paolo (bass and backing vocals) and Antonio (drums).
