Killer Klown Crappy Circus

(They define their music (inspired by the STOOGES, the CRAMPS, the 60s, PUNK’77 and B-MOVIES) as "wild-doped garage-punk’n’roll". Their lyrics are irreverent and/or steeped in violence, just like their live gigs, which have contributed to the band’s "negative" reputation.
Here’s their new album, among freaks and acrobats, where to taste if the definition is true!) The KK formed in Turin at the end of 1994.
They define their music (inspired by the STOOGES, the CRAMPS, the 60s, PUNK’77 and B-MOVIES) as "wild-doped garage-punk’n’roll". Their lyrics are irreverent and/or steeped in violence, just like their live gigs, which have contributed to the band’s "negative" reputation.
At the beginning of 1995, they released their first single "BRAND NEW SHIT" which was followed-up by the double 7 inch "TWIST & FUCK" less than a year later.
After several gigs, especially in northern Italy and the release of a number of records ("SHANE WHITE IS A FRIEND OF MINE" on 7 inch – "DR. PEDOPHILOUS" on 10 inch – "TOO JUNK TO DIE", picture LP), the KK played in Spain and Germany, occasionally as headliners and sometimes as the opening band for acts such as SATAN’S PILGRIMS, REAL MC ENZIES, MORLOCKS, DENIZ TEK, NASHVILLE PUSSY, NEW BOMB TURKS, SPIDER BABIES, EDDIE & THE HOTRODS, KING KHAN & THE SHRINES and many others.
Every gig is memorable, both on stage and backstage, and comes complete with alcohol, fighting, drugs and general hilarity.
They replaced the drummer right after the release of their single "HEY PICCOLINA" (and many other band members will come and go).
Meanwhile, the LP "SATAN’S ROCK" was released, which was followed by the self-produced CD "KILLER KLOWN PLAY THE ROLLING STONES" along with the so-called "EVILUTION". At this time, the guitarist from the original line-up also left the band.
After a few years and the replacement of two other guitarists, the KK released "BORN TO ROCK!"

The current line-up is as follows:
SHE-HELLCAT – keyboards
MR. CAIRO – bass guitar
JOE COSTA – guitar
MARCO pq – drums
REV. JUNGLE – voice

REVIEWS

THEE PSYCHEDELICATESSEN 10/07/2018

Killer Klown are an absolute riot. Jacked up on the maximum Garage/Punk Rock ‘n’ Roll sleaze of The Cramps and The Stooges, they have been tearing it up since the mid 90’s, mixing classic 60s Garage Rock influences with a snarling Punk attitude. Back with their first album in seven years following a line up change, Crappy Circus is a karnival of swirling 60s keys, manic Punk Rock riffing and crashing drums, neatly picking up where the last left off. There is nothing faintly fancy about this record…………timeless Rock ‘n’ Roll played as if Killer Klown’s lives depended on it. Essential listening if you like your Garage/Punk hard, fast and stupid. Available now on vinyl and D/L, check it out here………

Bertrand Tappaz – Chronique 2018 – 29/06/2018 – VOIX DE GARAGE GRENOBLE
