The five lads from La Spezia (Italy) are the keepers of a forty years old faith, tempered in the garage rock and punk fires and enriched by the colours of powerpop and british 00s indie rock.
Is it different? comes after three years from They don’t understand , an album beloved by the critics due to its peculiar mix of sixties melodies and guitar urge.
In the magical isolation of Tuscany countryside, at Poderino Recording Studios with the supervision of the sound engineer Francesco Landucci, the Made finally gave the perfect shape to a bunch of songs that were already part of their gigs in the last years. That’s why Is it different? , even if still direct and immediate, sounds more complete, the work of a band able to cope with its own influences. From the epic jangle rock of the opener Through your eyes , to the sonic razorcuts of SF , through the anthems To Be and She Lies , the new songs picture the true best of a long career in a concentration of power and romanticism. The psychedelia of Perfumed Garden and She’s Gone brings late 60’s themes right into today and gives new changing tones to the band’s palette, while in the burning electric blasts of Necessary Disguise and in the pop perfection of The Meaning of your Life you can feel the everlasting love for the british attitude of Jam and Blur.
