The Bone Machine Sotto Questo Cielo Nero

(The Bone Machine is the dark side, desperate and grotesque of Italian rock’n’roll.
In this new album , the band always digs deeper in the dirt of the marsh mud revealing new stories – such as blood soaked dreams – that you can listen to by lovers and the drunken monkeys patrons of the cafe of the cemetery.
13 tracks , 3 taken from the latest 7" "Noi Siamo zombies", in which the masked band pours 17 years of wild freedom and madness.
Once again the Rockabilly psycho, the Garage Punk and the Blues blend with the texts engraved with nails on the toilet walls of the cemetery cafe overlooking hell.
The sound is enriched with new fiery elements and collaborations proving that you do not travel through just one kind of music: Violin , Organ , Harmonica , Sax and Piano accompanying guitar, bass and drums among the dark alleys of a maze in which to lose to meet our beloved / hated demons.
The album starts with "Rock’n’Roll o Morte" whose beginning is a brief tribute to the late 50s Desperate Rock’n’roll, "Rock’n’Roll Guitar" by Johnny Knight (1958). The rest is to explore how the depths of an ocean that hides wrecks and tells the story of a never forgotten past . The cover is designed by Gerlanda di Francia.

The Masked Bunch from the Swamp is back!!!
Imagine Cramps, Tom Waits, RL Burnside, The Pougues and Dead Kennedys having a big voodo-orgy in a swamp in Italy… That’s basically what Bone Machine is!
All about dirty rock’n’roll meant to be played live in the rougher possible way.
Ok…we know what you’re thinking: they sing in italian, an unknown language to me and blablablalblablalba…bullshit!
This band is so groovy and you will not care in which language are they singing.
If you like crude r’n’r or dirty blues, this record will blow your mind!
It will be released soon in CD and LP (the only true format) with a double artwork by the skilled Gerlanda di Francia (check the lady’s out too).
Give up all your prejudices about rockabilly/psycho and all your shitty subgenres obession; this is something to crank up at an obscene volume.
Get it or die!

Outta the swamp and straight to your heart………….from the home of Italian Garage Rock, Area Pirata Records , comes a brand new album from The Bone Machine , a three man wrecking crew playing electrifying, amped up, primitive Psychobilly/Rockabilly, Garage Rock and Punk Rock Blues. Who are these mystery men??? With their true identities hidden behind Mexican wrestlers masks, they answer only to the names Jack Cortese (guitar, vocals), Big Daddy Rott (double bass) and Black Macigno (drums), Bone Machine emerged from the primordial ooze in 1999 playing the dirtiest Rock ‘n’ Roll this side of Satan’s pit of fire. Imagine The Cramps in the grip of a psychotic episode, a twisted Johnny Burnette Trio on acid, zombie Elvis from beyond the grave and Fred Hammond possessed by the spirit of Jack the Ripper, then you come close to the experience of a wild ride with The Bone Machine. With lyrics in Italian telling half hallucinated visionary tales of demons, alcohol, sex and zombies, it has been said that " listening to The Bone Machine is like smoking marijuana from a plant that has it’s roots in Hell ". With an extensive discography from 17 years of recording which includes several singles, EPs and tracks on compilations, their new album Sotto Questo Cielo Nero (Under This Black Sky) is the fifth full length release from the band with their dynamic sound expanded with the addition of violin , organ , harmonica , sax and piano accompanying The Bone Machine’s "back to basics" guitar, bass and drums on several of the new songs. It’s primal Rock ‘n’ Roll at its best.
Mixing together the Rockabilly sleaze of The Cramps and pre-Nuggets Garage Rock with Voodoo Blues and an image that takes in everything from Weird Tales monster comix to Hot Rods and pneumatic devil girls, The Bone Machine are Lucifer’s very own bar band, hanging out in the same disreputable Juke Joints as the Jim Jones Review, The Birthday Party, the Detroit Cobras, the Gories and the MC5. The album opens with ‘Rock’n’Roll o Morte’ (‘Rock’n’Roll or Death’) whose beginning is a brief tribute to the late 50s tune, ‘Rock’n’Roll Guitar’, by Johnny Knight before plunging into a wild Rock ‘n’ Roll Rollercoaster ride through 13 tracks of the most thrilling music you will of heard all year. If there have to be stand out songs picked, they would have to be the madcap ‘Noi Siamo Zombies’ and ‘L’uomo Gorilla’, the Bluesy instrumental ‘Corsa All’inferno’, the Farfisa and fuzz Garage Rock of ‘Nella Fredda Terra’ and the sleazeball Rock ‘n’ Roll number ‘Un Altro Sorso Di Veleno’. If manic Rock ‘n’ Roll thrills are your thing, then you really can’t go wrong with The Bone Machine.

Bertrand Tappaz – Chronique 2016 – 05/11/2016 – VOIX DE GARAGE GRENOBLE

INTERVIEWS

Okay , so like most Americans I’m a little challenged when it comes to speaking or understanding any other language but that doesn’t stop me from jamming to this new album from the Bone Machine , and I bet if I listen to this enough I’ll pick up on what’s being said and that’s going to be easy to do , the music is kick ass punk rockabilly some call that psychobilly , whatever you call it doesn’t much matter to me but you can jump and dance to it and that’s good enough for me. It’s like Brian Setzer getting all mixed up with Lux , instrumentals and harmonica are sick.
Dig…

Meet – Bone Machine

for those unfamiliar with your bands history, can you tell us all how you all met up and decided to start a band?

The band was founded in 1999. All the early band members come from the Monkeys Factory, a punk band active from 1990 to 1996.
In 2000, Big daddy-Rott becomes the new bass player and in 2004, after a couple of changes, Black Macigno becomes the new drummer.
All of us have known each other since we attended high school and being antisocial youth with a passion for loud music we decided to form a band, the rest comes by itself …

who would you list as your musical influence?

Our music influences are so much: Psychobilly, Garage, Punk, Rockabilly, Blues, HC, Soul, Ska, Country, Hard Rock… we love all kinds of music make you move your ass, drunk and make love.

whats the coolest thing that’s happened to you as a band since you started up?

Happen to us a lot of good things, but the greatest satisfaction is when you see people going out of their minds at our concerts, but also the fact to know many nice people while traveling.

what are your hopes and dreams as a band for the next few years.

we hope to continue to improve, to do songs that appeal on the people, to communicate something with the music and the lyrics. We do not need to appear what we are not, we do not want to become rock stars. We want to continue on our way without having to answer to the music businnes.

what are some of your favorite albums from the past few years?

There are hundreds of albums that we could show, we do not know where to start … Tom Waits "Bone Machine", 1st Album Clash, Dead Kennedys’ Fresh Fruit … "Cramps" Date with Elvis ", Johnny Burnette Trio, The Sonics "boom", Circle Jerks "Wild in the streets" Meteors "Don’t touch the bang bang fruit", Kina "se ho vinto, se ho perso," Negazione "lo spirit continua", Cult "Electric", Howlin ‘Wolf, Dead Boys, New York Dolls, Stooges, Black cat Bones "barbed wire sandwich" … we can not answer this question without filling 20 pages! ha ha.

Do you see any real use for social media , or is it all just a pain in the ass to keep with?

I believe that smaller bands can use social media to get to know and play around. It is not all bad, just know how to use. Sometimes you lose control and then it is all crap, but certainly compared to the 90s, young people now have some more chance … even if there is less curiosity to discover new music, maybe because everything is thrown at you face and you have to consume it quickly.

Do you pay attention to reviews or comments from people about your music or do you just turn that noise off.

Yes, usually we are interested in what people think of us, but in the end we do what we think is right to do for ourselves. If like us well, otherwise goodbye!

If you could tour anywhere in the world , where would you want to go.

JAPAN and Mexico.

Can music save the mortal soul or is just a good backbeat to your life.

Rock’n’roll leads to hell but it saves you in this life.
It makes you even shake your ass!

Any last thoughts for your fans?

No matter if you’re ugly, we love you all equally.

Thanks

Thank you and Aloha from Hell!
