The Last Killers 3 Bombs Over Berlin

(Finally out the debut album of this Garage band!!
After the split 7″ along with The Directors, now available this album completely played from the band. We can appreciate their personal style and powerful mix between Garage Beat, R’n’R & Soul/R&B.
We can describe their sound thinking about Fuzztones, early Chesterfield Kings and even 60s Garage USA monsters as Sonics and Seeds!)

Finally out the debut album of this Garage band!!
After the split 7″ along with The Directors, now available this album completely played from the band. We can appreciate their personal style and powerful mix between Garage Beat, R’n’R & Soul/R&B.
They’re keeping on touring across Germany, France and Italy of course!!
We can describe their sound thinking about Fuzztones, early Chesterfield Kings and even 60s Garage USA monsters as Sonics and Seeds!
With them, in Area Pirata’s home, we inaugurate the print of
our CD in format digipack, that is not as vinyl but for us
fetishists is already more seductive of the “plastic one” in
jewel box!!

REVIEW

Garwood Pickjon – Popism 12/07

At first I tought

they’re Germans, but in the meantime I realized that it’s only what

their “bombs” are aimed at … and it’s Italy where they’re being

lauched from. Even though only American references (Fuzztones, The

Chesterfield Kings, Sonics, Seeds) are mentioned in the press

release, however audiable they are as well, it’s the British mid’60s

r’n’b BOOM, that these ears are being deafened by after the explosion

of these particular bombs. The closest contemporary reference point

might be the Japanese soulmates The Routes, capturing the raw essence

of The Pretty Things, The Downliners Sect, The Yardbirds or The

Animals, in the most punked up of ways, with a choice for a cover

like ‘Teenage kicks’ , revealing yet another source where

the energy is being drawn from. The ‘Killers’ standard choice of

instruments seems to be the drums, the geetar and (mostly) Vox organ,

with just an occasional bass and harp blow, thrown in just for the

bloooze of it.

Watch out Berlin! … though I’m kind of hoping that a bomb or two

might drop somewhere else as well.
