(Look no further for the most aptly-titled addition to the “Only Fit For The Bin” series!
Trash formed in 1976 in Weybridge, Surrey. Co-vocalists Simon and Jane witnessed the Sex Pistols at the 100 Club and realised that there was something new and exciting happening!
Slimming down to a 4 piece the band signed to Polydor and released their debut single ‘Priorities’ a few months later. Good things were promised and the band set about playing venues around London. A slight change of direction brought their second single ‘N-N-E-R-V-O-U-S’ in 1978. Despite production by the legendary Shel Talmy the public did not lap up this release and after a few months the band folded.
For the first time you can hear the complete Trash recordings, including both sides of their Polydor singles plus the unreleased third single produced by Nigel Gray (Police, Siousxie and the Banshees).
