The Maharajas is a Swedish rock band that was formed in Stockholm in 1996. Characteristic of the group’s music is the mixture of 1960s garage rock, moody New England style, pub rock and ’70s power pop, as well as the fact that the songs usually clock in at under three minutes. During their +25 years of existence they managed to release eight full length albums, numerous singles and also a couple of compilation albums. Now, for the first time, they release a 7″ vinyl single on Rogue Records. ‘Talkin’ To The Man’ is a mid-tempo song with a catchy chorus showing influences from Ian Dury and generic pub rock, while ‘(Let’s) Play House’ is an up-tempo pub rock/rhythm’n’blues number.
